"Major vocal talent" (NY Times) Joseph Keckler and Grammy-nominated musician Jesse Paris Smith join forces for a dynamic double bill, joined by key musical collaborators.

Joseph Keckler has performed his songs and stories around the world—from dive bars to Lincoln Center and NPR’s Tiny Desk. His most recent performance piece, A Good Night in the Trauma Garden, was commissioned by The Metropolitan Museum of Art. His debut collection of writing, Dragon at the Edge of a Flat World, was published by Turtle Point Press. He is currently working on an album.

Jesse Paris Smith is a writer, musician, producer who was born in Detroit and resides in NYC. In 2023 she launched a substack, where she continues to publish her writing regularly. She began performing as a musician in 2004, sitting in on keyboard with her mother’s band, and with her first studio recording the piano for the title track on Trampin’ when she was 16. She went on to form and play keyboards in several bands, playing often with her mother’s band, working with various musicians, and composing songs of her own. In 2019 she released an album along with longtime collaborator Tenzin Choegyal and Laurie Anderson, Songs from the Bardo, released on Smithsonian Folkways Recordings, holding the #1 spot on the New Age Billboard Chart for 2 weeks, and nominated for a Grammy® for 2021 in the New Age category. Jesse is also certified grief counselor and a co-founder of Pathway to Paris, a non-profit combating climate change, and is a curator and producer of events in NYC and around the world.
