DONOR-ADVISED FUND GIVING

Consider recommending a grant to The Public through your Donor-Advised Fund (DAF) sponsor today using DAFpay to help us create art that is of, by, and for all people.

A donor-advised fund (DAF) is a tax-advantaged charitable giving account for individuals, families, or businesses to help support their favorite nonprofits. Donations are made to the fund, and then grants are distributed to recommended nonprofit organizations.

Simply search for and select your DAF sponsor and you will be able to complete the grant recommendation process directly through the DAFpay tool without needing to leave our website.

Our legal name is the “New York Shakespeare Festival”; we are d/b/a The Public Theater and our tax identification number (EIN) is 13-1844852.

Please note, according to IRS guidelines and DAF sponsors rules, donations from DAFs cannot be used to pay—neither partially or wholly—for fundraising events/tickets/tables, or memberships if they include goods or benefits that aren’t fully tax-deductible. However, if you decline all goods and benefits, you can use a DAF donation for payment.

If you would like to make a gift to The Public through a DAF sponsor not found on DAFpay, please ask for your contact information to be included for proper acknowledgment, make checks payable to “The Public Theater,” and mail to the following address:

Feel free to contact giftaccounting@publictheater.org if you have any questions or to inform us of your gift.
